Jet Asia Airways Commences Scheduled Services from Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi to Tokyo-Narita

BANGKOK, October 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jet Asia Airways, a Thai airline based at Suvarnabhumi Int'l airport today launched its inaugural scheduled service to Tokyo's Narita International airport. Jet Asia will operate four times weekly service from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Int'l Airport to Tokyo's Narita Int'l airport using a wide-body Boeing 767 aircraft with capacity of 235 passengers.

Jet Asia had previously operated successful charter services from Bangkok to Tokyo for more than two years, the new scheduled service will be offered by a range of new distribution channels in both Thailand and Japan, providing greater choice to travelers, and offering value for money services to a wider range of customers in both Thailand, and Japan.

This new route is part of a Jet Asia Airways expansion program - with a number of additional new scheduled services planned for launch over coming months. Additionally, Jet Asia plans to offer interline connections with partner airlines enabling passengers to purchase a single ticket from Jet Asia connecting other cities in Thailand and South East Asia.

Jet Asia has invested in the industry leading Amadeus Altea solution as its in-house Passenger Management System, the airline will also be distributed by the Abacus Global Distribution System in South East Asia and INFINI in Japan, systems widely used by travel agencies in those markets. The airline will also launch a new online booking engine for passengers wishing to book directly, with a new range of services and products planned.
