KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Feb. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Malaysia in conjunction with the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) and World Poultry Science Association (WPSA) Malaysia branch sets return with the 2nd WVPA-WPSA Scientific Conference and the debut of  ASIA MEATEC 2015, held alongside LIVESTOCK ASIA 2015 from 21-23 September 2015 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.   Reflecting the global demand for increase in processed meats as well as sustainability and safety, the trifecta components added and returning to LIVESTOCK ASIA 2015 makes it the most comprehensive feed, livestock, and meat value chain event in Asia.

The announcement for continued collaboration and launch was made during the soft launch of ASIA MEATEC and 2nd WVPA-WPSA Scientific Conference held on 12 Feb 2015 at Universiti Putra Malaysia by Director General of Department Veterinary Services Malaysia, YH Dato' Dr. Mohamad Azmie Zakaria with President of World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) Malaysia Chapter , Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris and the President of World Poultry Science Association -- Malaysia Chapter, Prof. Dr. Zulkifli Idrus witnessed by Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Ahmad Mustaffa Babjee, Chairman of UBM Malaysia, Dr. Paul Chelliah, President of Veterinary Association Malaysia (VAM) and Mr. Gandhi, Managing Director, UBM Asia.

As a step forward to ensure the Malaysian poultry industry is sustainable and continues to contribute significantly to the national food security, the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) and World Poultry Science Association (WPSA) Malaysia Branch confirmed today to again organise a scientific conference co-located with LIVESTOCK ASIA 2015.

Focusing on the theme "Enhancing Innovation in Poultry Health and Production ", the 2nd WVPA-WPSA Scientific Conference is the righteous platform in bringing together experienced industry experts and practitioners from universities, research institutes and industries in sharing of innovative knowledge and technologies, and networking to foster future collaborations in poultry production, nutrition and health.

Also top of mind for the industry is an increasing population adding to the strain on the demand for processed meat.
