Learning and Teaching Expo Coming on June 28 - 29, 2011 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center

HONG KONG, June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Hong Kong Education City Limited (www.hkedcity.net), a wholly owned company of the Hong Kong SAR government, is going to hold a major annual professional development event for teaching community "Learning and Teaching Expo 2011" (LTE 2011) on 28-29 June in Hong Kong Convention Center, Wan Chai, Hong Kong for sharing and exchange of knowledge, ideas and methods with regard of education and showcase the latest development on learning and teaching. The organiser is honoured to have Mr. Michael Suen Ming-yeung, Secretary for Education, join to officiate at the opening ceremony and Mr. Kenneth Chen Wei-on, Under Secretary for Education to be its officiating guest of Partner Networking Reception.

As highlighted in this year's theme "Explore. Our Learning Way", LTE 2011 targets to attract over 10,000 visitors, of which a good representation is from Hong Kong and surrounding regions. Target audience of LTE 2011 includes principals and teachers of pre-primary, primary, secondary and special education schools, pre-service teachers, academia and teaching professionals, government officers, education industry players, and other professionals to exchange new ideas and knowledge, locally and internationally, for better development of learning and teaching.

Here are the highlights of the event this year:

  • 60+ keynote and seminar sessions on Learning and Teaching resources and solutions, e-Learning, digital classroom, school management system, etc. LTE 2011 specially invited Prof. Stephen Heppell, Mr. Tai Hay Lap and Dr. Ho Ting Pong to share the topics on "Learning and teaching in the third millennium", "The Implication of China's Development on Education" and "Myths of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder".
  • 110+ booths hosted by universities, schools, NGOs and companies of educational publishing, school infrastructure, and LAT resources and solutions, etc. and numerous of overseas exhibitors joining the Expo from Australia, China, Poland, Singapore and UK.
  • Numerous of exhibitors will provide free gifts and professional ideas or services on Learning and Teaching to visitors
  • For the first 6 schools/ kindergartens (with over 15 teaching staff registered) can enjoy FREE outdoor learning and teaching programme offered by Hong Kong Disneyland Youth programme.
