Letv Cloud Announces the Worldwide Video-as-a-Service Model in London

HONG KONG, May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Letv Cloud Computing Co. Ltd., known as the No.1 video cloud computing brand and a neutral service provider, announced the launch of the worldwide VaaS (Video-as-a-Service) model in TV Connect event in London. In this Letv Cloud's first global debut, it shows an upgraded and globalized version of VaaS model since it was invented in China in 2014. TV Connect, the world-leading event in the fields of OTT and IPTV, was held in London during April 28-30, 2015. Over 500 telecom operators, 200 exhibitors and about 8,500 professionals joined the event.

VaaS Model

Letv Cloud first invented VaaS (Video-as-a-Service) model in 2014 and this concept was in relation to IaaS, PaaS, SaaS in Cloud Computing. VaaS model is based on cloud computing, big data, and video technologies. It is founded on Internet-wide content aggregation, combining aggregation, distribution and derivative capabilities. Letv Cloud provides a complete end-to-end public cloud service with a global multi-device and multi-layer distribution system. It aims to provide extraordinary video service to users anytime, anywhere and without any barriers.

Wu Yazhou, CEO of Letv Cloud, delivered a speech themed "Letv Cloud Speeds up Globalization, Presenting Unique VaaS Model" during the TV Connect event. The Game Plan of Letv Cloud

According to Mr. Wu, "Letv Cloud already owns over 420 self-built CDN nodes and over 30 of them are in the UK, Germany, North America and South East Asia. In 2015, we will build another 50 nodes overseas to cover the entire globe, and increase the bandwidth to 10Tbps." For events such as Formula 1 and the Le Superphone launch which need cross continental live broadcast, Letv Cloud can provide high-resolution and smooth multi-screen live broadcasting service, thanks to its years of expertise and worldwide CDN nodes. The oversea strategy of Letv Cloud includes:

1. Letv will seek collaboration with excellent carriers, technology partners, content producers, content providers, and distribution channels. It builds its own network and engages in local cooperation to realize rapid and stable video streaming globally.

2. Letv accumulated years of video technology experience to provide On-Demand and Cloud Live Broadcasting services. It is assisting the company all over the world to turn content into videos and put them on the cloud, helping to transform their traditional business models. 

3. Letv Cloud is looking for opportunities to work with other video distribution platforms, which can help excellent video content to find fair and fast distribution channels. It aims to build the global media resource management and trade platform, change the video delivery process ranging from video production to distribution, realize the commercial value of good content, and provide excellent content to video platforms.
