LONDON, October 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In August, 2012, Maipu Communication, a leading Chinese ICT company, was invited to attend Mayor of London's 2012 Business Programme, which was organized by London & Partners on behalf of the Mayor of London.
During the 2012 Olympics, the London government sent an official invitation to world famous IT enterprises, looking for partners to rebuild East London, including Olympic Park, into a "Tech City". Fellow companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Yelp and Salesforce were also on the invitation list. Maipu, attracting a lot of attention by its steady achievements in international markets, was the only IT enterprise from western China invited to join the event.
The London Olympic Park rebuilding program is aimed to promote London as the next technology centre or next "Silicon Valley". Maipu is thinking about increasing investment in Europe, and the UK is certainly one of the key potential markets to be invested in, especially taking this program into consideration.
