McGraw-Hill Construction to Present Green Building and Energy Conservation International Conference, September 13-14 in China

NEW YORK, July 18 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Construction, the premier provider of construction information and intelligence in North America and part of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), today announced it will present "Green Building and Energy Conservation: The Talk, Practice and Performance International Conference," September 13-14, 2007, in Hangzhou, China, in collaboration with the esteemed Zhejiang University.

The event will gather green building thought leaders and practitioners in China and abroad to share their experience, challenges, and solutions for common issues. Executives from Siemens Real Estate China, General Electric Co., United Technologies Corp., Groupe Carrefour, Plantronics, Weyerhaeuser Co., International Resources Group, Arup, and the Ministry of Construction, China, among others, will engage in panel discussions covering key topics such as:

-- Moving beyond single building construction to green communities, and

the importance for China;

-- How green buildings are performing -- perspectives from prominent

commercial owners and residential developers;

-- New products and technologies that make buildings more energy-

efficient;

-- Best practices across countries and regions on green building standard-

setting and enforcement.
