According to the latest DisplaySearch forecast, the estimated shipments of 3D TV in 2010 is 3.4 million, and the 3D TV market penetration rate is expected to grow from 5% of total flat panel TVs in 2010 to 37% in 2014. The world's first 120Hz SoC solutions for pattern retarder/ shutter glasses 3D TV can support not only multiview video coding (MVC), but also various 3D media formats, including 3D VOD (Video on Demand), VC-1, 3D Blu-ray and broadcasting.
