Montage Technology Group announced the appointment of Prof. Charles G. Sodini as an independent member to its Board of Directors.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Montage Technology Group, a leading fabless semiconductor company today announced the appointment of Prof. Charles G. Sodini as an independent member to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Sodini is currently the LeBel Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was a co-founder of SMaL Camera Technologies, a leader in imaging technology for consumer digital still cameras and machine vision cameras for automotive applications. He has served on a variety of IEEE Conference Committees, including the International Electron Device Meeting where he was the 1989 General Chairman. He has served on the IEEE Electron Device Society Administrative Committee and was president of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society from 2002 to 2004. He is currently the Chair of the Executive Committee for the IEEE VLSI Symposia and a Fellow of the IEEE.

Dr. Sodini received the B.S.E.E. degree from Purdue University, in 1974, and the M.S.E.E. and the Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1981 and 1982, respectively.
