BANGKOK, March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nissan today showcased its full model line-up to match the different needs of Thai customers at the 35th Bangkok International Motor Show. Stars of the show include the new Nissan Livina, Nissan Pulsar DIG Turbo and CNG-powered vehicles.
Additionally, Gran Turismo®6 (GT6™) gamers are invited to win a chance to become a professional NISMO athlete by joining the Nissan GT Academy competition, which kicks off the first round at the Nissan Booth (A7) from March 26 to April 6, 2014, at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
Livina
The bold, active compact SUV Livina is designed to provide ultimate comfort and functionality. It embodies a dynamic, urban character suitable for active couples with various lifestyles who enjoy a variety of activities. Livina's spacious interior comes with extra legroom and 60/40 split fold seating in the rear, which provides an increased load capacity of up to 769 liters. With ground clearance of 175 mm that provides enhanced visibility, the compact SUV presents excellent handling performance in all driving conditions.

Pulsar DIG Turbo
Nissan has added the new Pulsar DIG Turbo to its lineup to fulfill the desires of high performance, sporty hatchback enthusiasts seeking a thrilling driving experience. With its 1.6L MR16DDT turbocharged Direct Injection Gasoline engine and Twin C-VTC, which features 2.5-liter--class power, Pulsar DIG Turbo produces a maximum of about 190 horsepower (PS) at 5,600 rpm, 240 Nm at 2,400 rpm of torque, and also turns in amazing fuel economy.
Pulsar DIG Turbo is equipped with the advanced XTRONIC® CVT that also comes with a 6-speed manual mode for more thrills. It presents exceptional performance as it is outfitted with an updated braking system with a larger disc, newly adjusted steering system and the uniquely tuned suspension system with a shock absorber that offers greater damping force.
Nissan Pulsar DIG Turbo offers a confidence-inspiring driving feel with a full range of safety technology and devices, including Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS) and six airbags: the dual SRS airbags, two side airbags and two curtain airbags. It is limited to 350 units each of three colors: Black Star, Radiant Red and White Pearl.
CNG-powered models: Navara CNG, Sylphy CNG and Urvan CNG
To offer more in the line-up of alternative fuel vehicles that fulfills the needs and preferences of environmentally conscious customers, Nissan has recently introduced Navara CNG, Sylphy CNG and Urvan CNG. With a bi-fuel engine installed under Nissan's quality control, Nissan's CNG-powered vehicles can run on either gasoline or compressed natural gas (CNG) while offering better fuel economy and cleaner emissions.
With a 2.5-litre QR25DE engine, the new Navara CNG provides excellent driving performance of 154 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and torque of 242 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The King Cab version comes in five colors: Brilliant Silver, White Pearl, Grayish Bronze, Black Star and Twilight Gray. The Single Cab version is available in three colors: Brilliant Silver, White Solid and Grayish Bronze, with prices starting from 537,500 Baht.
Powered by the newly developed 1.6L DOHC 16-valve, 4-cylinder HR16DE bi-fuel engine, Twin C-VTC with dual injector, Sylphy CNG produces 154 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, delivering 116 horsepower (PS) at 5,600 rpm. Safety is enhanced with a solenoid valve system that closes automatically in an emergency, while a built-in CNG Control Switch allows for an easy way to select fuel mode system. It is available in six colors: Deep Iris Gray, White Pearl, Black Star, Brilliant Silver, Radiant Red and Grayish Bronze.
The new NV350 Urvan CNG is powered by a QR25DE engine, which generates 147 horsepower at 5,600 rpm with a maximum torque of 213 Nm at 4,400 rpm. It has two 100-liter CNG fuel tanks with protective coverings installed in the bed of the last row seats. Its special receptacle valve is located at the fuel filler area, allowing customers to replenish CNG at their convenience. NV350 Urvan CNG is available in two models: a 12-seater version with automatic transmission and a 16-seater with manual transmission and comes in five colors: Solid White, Brilliant Silver, Blade Silver, Solid Black and Tiger-eye Brown. It is priced from 1.251M Baht.
Nissan GT Academy: Win a Chance to Turn Pro NISMO Athlete
To create opportunities for Thais to gain motorsport experience at an international level, Nissan, in collaboration with Sony Thai Co., Ltd., introduced the first Nissan GT Academy in Thailand.
Nissan GT Academy kicks off its first round of live competition in Thailand at the Nissan booth at the Bangkok International Motor Show from March 26 to April 6, 2014 in IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Individuals can get behind the wheel of the Nissan GT6™ Simulators to win an opportunity to turn Pro NISMO Athlete.
In the first round of competition, Nissan GT Academy recruits the top 28 Thai gamers from two channels: 14 from Nissan GT6™ Simulators and 14 from the PlayStation® Network. The 28 contestants who clock the quickest lap times will be eligible to compete in the National Final, the first gateway to GT Academy's International Race Camp. The top six performers from the National Finals are then invited to take part in the Final Selection Round - an intense Race Camp competition held at the famous Silverstone Circuit, United Kingdom.
