(the "Company") (Nasdaq: QKLS), the leading regional supermarket chain in Northeast China, today announced that the Company has filed a Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission to delay the filing of its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2009.
The Company is unable to prepare and review all necessary information and disclosures in its Annual Report on Form 10-K by the initial filing deadline of March 31, 2010 without incurring unreasonable effort and expense. Due to this filing delay, the Company has postponed its earnings conference call with investors. The Company plans on filing its Annual Report on Form 10-K no later than Thursday, April 15th, 2010. The Company also plans on issuing a press release within the next week announcing a specific date and time in which it plans to file its 2009 10-K, release its FY09 financial results press release and conduct its quarterly conference call to review fourth quarter and full year 2009 financial results.
