RICS Strengthens Its Position in Hong Kong and Asia with More Facilities and Services for Members

HONG KONG, Sept. 9 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) announced today a number of changes for RICS Asia Pacific with an objective to provide more support and services to its members in the region. RICS Asia Pacific has recently renamed as "RICS Asia" to accurately reflect the region it covers and serves. RICS Asia has offices, national association boards and working groups in Brunei, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, The People's Republic of China and the SAR Hong Kong. It also has members working across the region such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma/Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Kiribati, Laos PDR, Macao, Mongolia, Nepal, Taiwan, The Maldives, The Philippines, and Timor East.

With the relocation of its office to Hopewell Centre, RICS Asia aims to provide more diversified and enriching services to members with a larger library resource and members' area being established in the office for members. RICS members can also enjoy an exclusive discount for booking the conference and meeting room at RICS Asia office.

With the rapid growth of membership in the region, RICS Asia is also expanding with more staff to provide more professional services to members and the industry. In addition to the staff expansion, RICS Asia is also working closely with experienced members to set up new committee and working groups to serve the local members with better services and uplift the professional standards within the industry. A new Working Group in Singapore has recently been set up with more member services such as site-visit and members' gathering being organized in Singapore to expand the networking platform for members.
