Adds new test and measurement products from Agilent including InfiniiVision 2000 and 3000 X-Series oscilloscopes and handheld digital multimeter
SINGAPORE, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- RS Components, the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, today announced new distributor agreements with Agilent Technologies (Agilent) in Southeast Asia. With the new agreements, RS Components will add Agilent's InfiniiVision 2000 and 3000 X-Series oscilloscopes and handheld digital multimeter (DMM) to its extensive portfolio of test and measurement products in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore.
RS Components has been appointed as the authorised distributor for Agilent's new InfiniiVision 2000 and 3000 X-Series oscilloscopes in Southeast Asia. The X-Series oscilloscopes incorporate breakthrough technology that allows advanced capabilities to be included while keeping the product affordable. The oscilloscopes offer mixed signal capability, software applications, and upgradability in line with changing customer requirements. One of the major advances allows the devices to have the fastest update rates in their class, with up to 1,000,000 waveforms per second. Another well-received improvement is the ability to upgrade the devices post-sale, enabling engineers to purchase today with the option for added capabilities as their performance needs evolve.
RS Components has also been appointed the master distributor for Agilent's high performance handheld DMMs in Singapore and the Philippines. These handheld DMMs are designed for faster, more accurate measurements to minimise false readings. Features on some of the models include a built-in torchlight for low-light situations, improved user interface, increased shock protection, brighter and higher contrast OLED (Organic LED) display technology, non-contact voltage detection and visual alerts for noisy environments. RS Components is also the authorised distributor for the handheld DMMs in Malaysia and Thailand.
