Reebok Launching eCommerce Business with its Online Flagship Store Opening on Taobao

SHANGHAI, May 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Reebok, one of the world’s leading sports brands, is expanding its reach into eCommerce in China with the launch of its first online flagship store on Taobao, China’s leading e-commerce marketplace.

The Reebok online flagship store provides a full range of Reebok product lines. Approximately 500 different products will be available when the store launches, but that number will increase in the short-term. The store will be activated by a series of fresh and interactive online activities to inspire consumers and make their online shopping experience more fun and exciting. “Our online flagship store will be much more than just a simple point of sale,” said Doyle, “As an American-inspired global brand, Reebok has the mindset to reflect creativity, constantly challenge and innovate. This is the inspiration behind our e-commerce platform. From May 9th, the Reebok online flagship store will be holding a grand opening promotion where consumers will have a chance to get limited and highly sought-after celebrity-autographed products from a host of Reebok ambassadors such as Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton and NBA Legend Allen Iverson. Consumers will experience both fun and pressure as they compete with other shoppers for deep discounts offered through specially-designed daily and weekly promotions, for example, the “Daily Second-killer”. Finally, consumers can also interact with the Reebok brand by winning an opportunity to enjoy spectacular live entertainment performances in the Reebok VIP Suite at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
