Rosenthal, a winner of 2015 Interior Innovation Award, has once again brought a keen understanding of contemporary visual arts to its new collection. Rosenthal's trend experts have analysed presentations, exhibitions and events in fashion, architecture, art and product design like Salone Internazionale del Mobile Milan and condensed it all into three key trends for 2015.

Flora: jungle prints

Today, it is no longer possible to imagine fashion without floral prints. In particular, motifs reminiscent of the thick, green jungle, wild blossoms, green leaves will shape the fashion scene for summer 2015. Rosenthal is taking this trend on board and digitally combining floral and fruity elements. The Les Fruits du Jardin design created by the Swiss textile designer Regula Studli combines illustrations of flowers and fruits to create an exotic, evergreen floral dreamworld that instantly transports you to sunny, southern climes.

Touch: awareness and the senses

The other big trend is the focus on haptics and delicate colour combinations. The right colours can promote our well-being, while special materials arouse our sense of touch. In this spirit, designers are working on three-dimensional colour-in-colour layers and drafts with a colour palette that is modern yet still familiar. With its clear-cut design and harmonious colour palette, the Rosenthal Mesh Colors collection addresses this desire. Either alone or in combination, delicate walnut, aqua and cream tones are the latest additions to the collection. With their unique, flowing glaze application and solid-coloured porcelain paste, they combine traditional craftsmanship with the requirements of a state-of-the-art service concept.

Colour fusion: a melting pot of colours and structures

Mixology combines a diverse range of colours, structures, patterns and materials. Inspired by the unique colour gradations of watercolour painting, the emphasis in this collection is on intense colours and the fusion of traditional prints with digitalised surfaces. The new Arty pattern in Thomas' "Trend" collection is the perfect response to this vogue. Its hand-painted surfaces are digitally rendered so that the colours flow into one another and are overprinted with a honeycomb structure. With their experimental patterns and structures, the coloured areas are a new take on the fashion for grooved structures.
