SINGAPORE, Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP announced today that it has named Mark Gibbs President of SAP Greater China, effective immediately. In his new role, Gibbs will oversee SAP's overall businesses in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Previously Chief Operating Officer of SAP Asia Pacific Japan, Gibbs has been taking the responsibility as the interim Greater China lead in the past nine months. Working closely with the China leadership team, Gibbs is instrumental in revitalizing the company's business in the market, recording solid double-digit revenue growth in Q3 this year. Under his leadership, SAP has built strong relationships both internally and externally that are accelerating and furthering the company's footprint and reputation across the fast-growth market. Gibbs will report to Robert Enslin, President of Global Customer Operations and a member of the Global Managing Board of SAP AG.

SAP's China Growth Plan aims to establish the company as the preferred supplier of business software solutions in China by making China a second home and contributing to the country's sustainable growth. SAP China will host China SAPPHIRE for the third consecutive year in Beijing on November 20-21.
Mark Gibbs was appointed in May 2011 as Chief Operating Officer of SAP Asia Pacific region, where he was responsible for all aspects of SAP's operations in the Asia Pacific region, including key market groupings of Japan, Australia and New Zealand, China, India, as well as Southeast Asia. Prior to being appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Gibbs was the President of SAP North Asia, covering Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, and a member of SAP Asia Pacific Japan's Senior Executive Leadership Team.
