HONG KONG, June 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- For three consecutive months, Shangri-La's Golden Circle Loyalty Programme is presenting a special summer promotion to its members with double Golden Circle Award Points (GC Award Points) and double qualifying nights with any qualifying stay during 1 July to 30 September 2012 at any Shangri-La, Kerry or Traders hotel worldwide.  During the same period, Golden Circle members may also earn double GC Award Points at the hotels' participating restaurants or CHI, The Spa as a non-staying guest.

"This program was so popular with our Golden Circle members and the public alike last year that it was an easy decision to initiate it again for this summer," said Wee Kee Ng, director of corporate loyalty and partner marketing of Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd.  "Once again, our 2.1 million members worldwide will not only be able to earn double bonus points to redeem their awards faster, but we have also included a recognition element that allows them to receive double qualifying nights.  This feature will enable them to accelerate their membership to the next level which includes receiving more exclusive privileges."

During the promotion period, Golden Circle members simply stay 10 or 25 qualifying paid nights to upgrade to Jade or Diamond membership respectively to enjoy additional exclusive benefits, including complimentary daily buffet breakfast, early check-in and late check-out and free stays for partner in the same room.  All newly enrolled members during the promotion period will be able to instantly enjoy the same benefits as existing Golden Circle members; in addition, they will also receive 500 bonus points after their first qualifying stay.

Since the re-launch of Golden Circle programme in Oct 2010, the awards programme has attracted more than 450,000 new members, bringing the total membership to over 2.1 million guests who have earned more than one billion GC Award Points.

Golden Circle enables members to earn and accumulate points by staying at Shangri-La, Kerry and Traders hotels, dining at participating restaurants or enjoying spa treatments at CHI.  These points may then be redeemed for complimentary room nights, upgrades, dining, spa privileges and airline miles.  Golden Circle members may earn one GC Award Point for every US$1 or local currency equivalent spent.  Rewards are available for as little as 500 GC Awards Points and members can share rewards with family members.  To reserve a stay, visit Golden Circle's dedicated website www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com/doubleindulgence.
