SINGAPORE, Sept. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Servcorp Ltd (SRV:ASX), the leading executive serviced and virtual offices provider with offices in 52 cities across 23 countries, opened its sixth office in Singapore located at CapitaGreen, the latest and most sought-after Grade-A building in the heart of the central business district.

An opening celebration was held at the premise on 22 September 2015 which was officiated by His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Lady (Lynne) Cosgrove and His Excellency Philip Green OAM Australian High Commissioner to Singapore. The event was also graced by Senior Executives of Servcorp's partners and clients.

Servcorp occupies level 24 of the ultra-modern, 40-storey CapitaGreen. Touted as the "greenest building in Singapore," CapitaGreen has been awarded the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore's Green Mark Platinum, the highest accolade recognising environmentally-friendly buildings. CapitaGreen is decked with greenery on every floor, crowned with unique wind funnels on the rooftop, channeling air into a void to help cool the building.  More than half of the building facade is covered with living green plants.

The eco-design of CapitaGreen includes an energy-efficient facade made of double-skin high-performance glass that minimises solar heat glare and diffuses natural light into the building. As a result, these innovative features create a cool, well-lit interior that requires lower energy consumption.

Mr Marcus Moufarrige, COO of Servcorp said: "The Servcorp office at CapitaGreen delivers key considerations for businesses today: innovation, sustainability, and cost efficiency. As the pre-eminent gateway to Asia and the rest of the world, Singapore draws some of the world's largest companies and serial entrepreneurs. With our new premise at CapitaGreen, we are strongly placed to support businesses that want to set up quickly and cost-effectively in a green landmark building that is well-located and has premiere services and connectivity," he said.

Sustainable business

Businesses can expand into a new market without having to invest huge sums for long-term leases and overhead costs associated with facilities, technology and support staff. On average, Servcorp clients realize savings up to 60% of the costs usually incurred for a traditional office space.

"Servcorp acknowledges the seriousness of climate change and its impact on the environment. We have seen a growing demand for sustainable spaces in Singapore as businesses select offices that are aligned with their green initiatives. As Servcorp's ongoing commitment to ensure the protection of our environment, we are delighted to launch our sixth office at CapitaGreen," added Ms Trinh Danh, General Manager, Southeast Asia of Servcorp.

The number of green buildings in Singapore has grown from 17 in 2005 to more than 2,100 in 2014, owing to the increasing demand for greener work spaces and the government's mission to achieve at least 80 percent of certified green buildings by 2030.

Servcorp's clients are able to obtain 24/7 global IT support with a 100-strong dedicated local IT support team, which makes Servcorp a reliable partner for tech giants clients like Dell and Microsoft.

Trinh concluded, "Servcorp's vision is to change the traditional way that people work and ensure business success by providing comprehensive flexible workspace options with a reliable technology infrastructure. We believe this is also one of the ways to create a more sustainable workplace in the future."
