Shangri-La Named "Best Business Hotel Brand in Asia-Pacific" in Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Readers' Poll for 11th Year Running

HONG KONG, Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has been voted Best Business Hotel Brand in Asia Pacific for the eleventh consecutive year and won a total of eight awards in Business Traveller Asia-Pacific magazine's 2011 Readers' Poll. The awards were presented during a special luncheon on 9 September in Hong Kong.

The Best Business Hotel in the World title was given to Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore for the eleventh consecutive year from 2001 to 2011 and the hotel was also voted Best Business Hotel in Singapore. Island Shangri-La won Best Business Hotel in Asia Pacific and in Hong Kong; Makati Shangri-La, Manila; Shangri-La, Bangkok and Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai each won the Best Business Hotel awards in their cities respectively.

The poll was conducted among the magazine's frequent traveller subscribers based mainly in the Asia-Pacific region.  Results will be published in the October 2011 issue of Business Traveller Asia-Pacific.
