SkyPeople Fruit Juice Announces Results of its Annual Shareholders' Meeting

XI'AN, China, September 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SkyPeople Fruit Juice, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPU - News) ("SkyPeople" or "the Company"), a producer of fruit juice concentrates, fruit juice beverages and other fruit-related products, today announced that it held its 2012 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the "Annual Meeting") on September 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M., Xi'an local time as previously announced.

At the Annual Meeting, the Company's shareholders were asked to vote on a proposal to elect seven directors to serve as members of the Board of Directors until the 2013 Annual Meeting of Stockholders or until their successors are elected and qualified. The shareholders elected Messrs. Yongke Xue, Norman Ko, Tao Wang, John W. Smagula, Baosheng Lu, Guolin Wang and Ms. Xiaoqin Yan as members of the Board of Directors of the Company by a plurality of the votes cast.

The Company's shareholders also ratified a proposal for the appointment of Paritz & Company, P.A. as the Company's independent registered accounting firm for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2012.
