Sotheby's Institute of Art to Offer Executive Education in Hong Kong

NEW YORK, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to build on its educational programming in mainland China, Sotheby's Institute of Art will offer an Executive Education course in Hong Kong designed for art world professionals and career changers who are interested in strengthening their business management skills and gaining practical insight into the current state of the global art market. The course, which will be conducted in English, is titled Business Management in the Art World and will be offered April 8-12, 2013. Sessions will take place at Hotel LKF (33 Wyndham Street, Lan Kwai Fong, Central, Hong Kong) and at Asia Society Hong Kong Center (9 Justice Drive, Admiralty, Hong Kong).

Over five days, art world scholars, business leaders and renowned practitioners in the field will address key issues of business practice through presentations, workshops, case studies, panel discussions and site visits. Dedicated sessions will cover strategy, marketing, finance, operations, governance and leadership, and participants will leave with a solid understanding of business fundamentals that will enhance their competitive edge in today's art market.
