HONG KONG, Sept. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Stratasys Asia Pacific, subsidiary of Stratasys Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSYS), the 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions company, today announced the host of its annual Asia Pacific 3D Printing Forum Series across five locations (Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiwan) in September, unveiling manufacturing technology development direction illustrating future capabilities that address manufacturers' needs to rapidly produce bigger and stronger parts in higher quality. The series of events will also feature innovators, leading advocates and experienced users from key industries, including automotive, machineries, medical, education and electronics.

First started in 2014, the annual forum has offered a platform for over 3,000 users, advocates and enthusiasts in Asia to exchange insights on the transformation within the 3D printing industry and its multiple impacts towards the design, engineering and manufacturing processes. Themed "Exploring New Design & Manufacturing Solutions", the 2016 series will bring the latest 3D printing solutions to participants, including advanced additive manufacturing technology demonstrators, desktop and production systems, materials, software and community. Specific application seminars, technical hands-on workshops and user case sharing sessions will also be conducted at the event. The full agenda can be found on http://3dprintingforumasia.com/

The Stratasys Infinite-Build and Robotic Composite 3D Demonstrators Break Barriers in Part Performance and Production Efficiency

Announced earlier as part of Stratasys' SHAPING WHAT'S NEXTTM vision for manufacturing, the two 3D Demonstrators, Infinite-Build and Robotic Composite, are built on Stratasys' industrial FDM® 3D printing expertise, addressing the needs of customers' most challenging applications, such as rapidly producing strong parts ranging from automobile armrest to an entire aircraft interior panel.

  • Infinite-Build 3D Demonstrator features a revolutionary approach to FDM extrusion that increases throughput and repeatability, turning the traditional 3D printer concept on its side to print on a vertical plane for practically unlimited part size in the build direction.
  • Robotic Composite 3D Demonstrator combines Stratasys Advanced Extrusion Technologies with Siemens' Motion Control Hardware and PLM Software, enabling precise, directional material placement for strength while reducing dramatically the need for speed-hindering support strategies through an 8-axis motion system for automated composite, lightweight part production.

"The design and manufacturing landscape has undergone radical change with the growing adoption of additive manufacturing technology. Many of our users are moving beyond rapid prototyping and integrating its various solutions to digitize their manufacturing workflows; building stronger, higher quality parts in a smarter way," said Omer Krieger, President of Stratasys AP. "Through unveiling our manufacturing development direction, we gain an opportunity to learn from our customers and ensure their requirements are addressed, henceforth giving our customers the opportunity to incorporate our future capabilities on their strategic development plans."

Highlighted sessions include:

  • Richard Hague, Professor of Innovative Manufacturing, University of Nottingham, speaking about Where 3D Printing is Heading to in Manufacturing
  • Grant Thomas-Lepore, Software Products & Strategy, GrabCAD, speaking about How GrabCAD Fits in the 3D Printing Ecosystem
  • Omer Krieger, President of Stratasys AP, speaking about Stratasys' Role in Product Development in the Next 5 Years

Other speakers include Stratasys' automotive solutions director, education research director, application specialists and regional technical specialists. Stratasys' suite of professional 3D systems and MakerBot desktop 3D printers will be showcased at each venue:
