Sundance Film Festival Global Short Films Released to Worldwide Mobile Users

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 15 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The five short 'made for mobile' films, premiering exclusively at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona this week, are now available for mobile users to download around the world today. Information on the project and instructions for accessing the films can be found on the special website www.sundance.org/globalshortfilms

To download the short films, text the word 'FILM' to +44-7624807811. A text message reply to your phone will include a link to the Sundance Film Festival Global Short Film Project mobile web page with thumbnails, descriptions of each of the five films and information about each filmmaker. By clicking on the thumbnail links, mobile users can chose to either stream from their mobile network or download the films into their phones.

Once downloaded, the royalty-free films can be shared with friends, family and colleagues using Bluetooth or memory card transfer.

At the web site mobile users can also vote or post comments about the films and enter a special competition to win tickets to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah in 2008.
