TCL Communication Announces Shipment Figures of Handsets and Other Products for September

HONG KONG, Oct. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TCL Communication Technology Holdings Limited ("TCL Communication" or the "Company" which, together with its subsidiaries and its affiliates, is referred to as the "Group"; HKSE stock code: 2618) today announced the unaudited figures for shipments of handsets and other products in September and the first nine months of 2015.

The Group's total sales volume of handsets and other products increased by 10% year-on-year to 7,441,000 units in September 2015. Sales volume of handsets and other products in overseas markets increased by 9% year-on-year to 6,555,000 units, while shipments in China market totalled 886,000 units, up by 13% year-on-year. Sales volume of smart devices increased by 4% year-on-year to 4,242,000 units, and accounted for 57% of the Group's total shipment for the month. For the first nine months of 2015, the cumulative sales volume of handsets and other products amounted to 57,724,000 units, representing an increase of 19% year-on-year, while the cumulative sales volume of smart devices reached 33,403,000 units, representing a 29% year-on-year growth.

In early September, the Group shone at IFA Berlin, one of the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics. A series of smart products under ALCATEL ONETOUCH brand have received extensive public and media attention, with over 5,000 news coverage and more than 35 international media interviews. POP STAR, with a wealth of removable back covers, awarded as "Top Picks from IFA 2015" on the renowned consumer electronics website androidcentral.com. Immediately after IFA Berlin, the Group's unveiled its Autumn new product presentation in Shenzhen in late September. Its newly launched innovative products such as extra-large 17.3-inch screen tablet Xess, as well as GO PLAY smartphone and GO WATCH smartwatch will go on sale in China, and have received another round of overwhelming response at the presentation. On top of that, the Group released the mobile healthcare app Fortune Dr 2.0 which collaborated with Sky-tech to provide video consultation functions. Also, a social media platform "Doctor Circle" will be built to facilitate real-time communication among doctors that belong to the same hospital and specialty to enhance their professionalism.

In late September, ALCATEL ONETOUCH FLASH 2, a tailor-made smartphone for Asia Pacific market proudly launched through online platform. Built with 4G Octa-core processor, FLASH 2 features a 13 megapixel rear camera with the RealTone dual flash and a front camera supporting short video and panoramic selfies, as well as high-end shooting specifications, enabling the user to take clearer and more natural photos. Sales of    FLASH 2 has begun in the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. It will soon be launched in Vietnam, Malaysia, India and Singapore and other Southeast Asian markets successively.

In mid September, "Sky-tech Cloud Service", the enterprise cloud services platform jointly developed by the Group, TCL Group and Cisco, introduced its first product "Sky-tech WebEx" to provide domestic customers with a more stable, secure and high-quality video communication services, signified remarkable achievement of the Group's "Double +" business transformation strategy. In the forthcoming future, the Group will further cooperate with TCL Group and Cisco to launch more enterprise cloud products and services, so as to turn "Sky-tech Cloud Service" into the most influential cloud services provider in China.
