Ranked Among Top 10 Brands From China
HONG KONG, Jan.12 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Limited ("TCL Multimedia" or the "Company") (stock code: 1070.HK) announced that RCA, a TV brand under the Company, won the 58th Technology and Engineering Emmy Award, a major award for the consumer electronics industry, for its latest on-screen display (OSD) technology. The award presentation ceremony was held at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow opened in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The judging panel of the Emmy Awards was formed by industry experts from the National Television Academy. The OSD technology developed by RCA simplifies the interactive methods between human and TV sets. This technology is a breakthrough in digital television display and is highly appreciated and acknowledged for its advancement in setting, control and adjustment of TV sets.

In addition to OSD, TCL Multimedia showcases more than 50 newly developed flat panel TVs as well as 18 RCA products at CES. RCA Scenium flat panel HDTV is also presented at the show. Moreover, it displayed its advanced flat panel concept products including super DLP sets with 3D gaming and 3D high definition functions, portable wireless HDTV with a handle on and high definition LCD TV sets capable of Internet and Intel Viiv. TCL Multimedia adopted the world class independent technology and design, in the development of these products.

Furthermore, the award presentation ceremony for the "Top 10 Brands from China" jointly organized by International Data Group (IDG) and Reed Business Information (RBI), and co-sponsored by world leading market research institution IDC, was held on 8th January, 2006. The top 10 brands were selected by over 3,000,000 cyber citizens and further assessed by 50 industry experts. This event is generally perceived to be a great event for consumer electronics manufacturers in China who may well lead the direction of the consumer electronics industry in China.
