TAIPEI, Taiwan, Oct. 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Taiwan Microloops Corp. today responded to accusations made by Hong Kong-based Convergence Technologies Ltd. ("Convergence"), on its website. Taiwan Microloops Corp. wishes to clarify the following items:
1. Convergence's claims are a partial assumption from itself, not the
truth. "Respect other people's legitimate patents, and invent our
patented technology independently" is the core value of our company,
and as such, under no circumstance has our company infringed on
others' patents. With respect to Convergence's allegation, our
company hereby rebuts the unverified patent infringement claims
sternly, which are believed to be the "Multiwick patent" and
"Boiling-Enhanced Multiwick patent," charged by Convergence. To
protect the best interests of the shareholders and the customers of
our company, our company has retained professional attorneys to
handle this matter. All Convergence's claims are assumptions, not
the truth.
2. All products from Microloops Corp. are manufactured based on our
patented technology from our own research and development. All
products from our company are manufactured based on our long time
hardship and independent invention and shall not infringe on others'
patents. Besides, we have obtained patent rights to protect those
technologies used to manufacture our products. There is no need for
us to use other people's patented technology.
3. The subject litigation is pending, and Taiwan Microloops Corp. will
try its best to defend its reputation. The unauthentic charge of
the matters mentioned above from Convergence is pending before the
Intellectual Property Court in Taiwan. Our company is currently
looking into the subject litigation and has uncovered several prior
arts that could be used to invalidate Convergence's subject patents.
Meanwhile, our company will raise the plea of patent invalidity, and
seek invalidation against the subject patents through a cancellation
action with the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office. We would like
to safeguard our company's reputation and ensure the best interests
of the shareholders and customers of our company.
4. Taiwan Microloops Corp. will try its best to ensure customers' best
interests are not being affected by this litigation. As usual, our
company will continue to provide first-class customer service. We
will ensure our customers' interests are not being affected by this
litigation. We respectfully request all our customers to trust in
us and to be unconcerned by the current accusations.
