The HK4As Kam Fan Awards, formerly known as the HK4As Creative Awards, have been organized by the HK4As every year since 1984 to recognize the best works in the market. Kam Fan, which literally means 'Golden Sail', is highly regarded as the "Grand Prix" accolade of the Hong Kong advertising industry.

The call for entries this year opened on July 6, 2015. Judging for the 2015 Kam Fan commenced in September and the winners were unveiled at the awards presentation on 27 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

The role of Jury Chairman includes guiding the Judges Panel, and offering arbitration on any issues that might arise. He also casts votes and is the final decision maker on the jury, supported by majority voting.

"This year the Awards continued to impress us. We found that the campaigns that received awards were definitely the best of the best, and reflect the efforts and passion of the creative minds in Hong Kong," said Steven.

In addition to judging for HK4As Kam Fan Awards, Steven is the judge for many ad festivals such as the Singapore Media Award, and has served as Chairman of the Judge Panel for the ROI Festival in China, just to name a few.

As an advertising veteran, in recent years Steven has attached particular importance to mobile marketing, creativity and technology, and is fully convinced that the mobile Internet represents the future of marketing. "I believe that mobile marketing places more emphasis on the connection between people: 'how to connect' becomes increasingly important in the mobile era. Only if we convert the big data into story-telling based on data analysis, and convert that data into users' profiles, can we win the advantage."
