Kelly Mak, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said, "There are more and more Indian visitors taking the star-studded journey through Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. We are sure that the new Amitabh Bachchan wax figure experience will appeal to our Indian visitors, who will get to meet their legendary star here, as well as other local and international visitors."

"As a key attraction in Hong Kong, we are dedicated to promoting the city's tourism so are excited to be able to offer our visitors even more when they visit Madame Tussauds Hong Kong," added Mak.

Special guest, Best TV Actor Moses Chan, dressed in an enthralling red-carpet-style black suit, joined Kelly Mak and a group of professional Bollywood dancers to unveil Amitabh's wax figure. The ceremony kicked off with a dynamic Bollywood dance performance, reminiscent of the Bollywood movie glamour. The dancers then led Moses Chan and Kelly Mak out to strike an Indian pose with showbiz heavyweight Amitabh.

The Amitabh Bachchan wax figure is dressed in an Indian-style black suit and white trousers, as seen in the opening of Salon du Cinema at Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris in 2009.

Amitabh's wax figure will be displayed against an exquisite Indian facade adorned with light bulbs. Guests will enjoy a theater-style lighting show inspired by Amitabh's movie "Aladin" when they get closer to the iconic movie star and meet him "in person". The wax figure will be permanently displayed in the World Premiere zone at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

Patrick Kwok, General Manager, Business Development of Hong Kong Tourism Board, partners and guests from Consulate General of India, Hong Kong, The India Association Hong Kong, Indian Arts Circle, India Club and The Hong Kong Indian Women's Club also joined in the celebrations.
