SHANGHAI, June 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On the afternoon of June 20, a video for the prototype of the second generation Geak smart watch was released on the official website as announced. As the world's first real-round smart watch, the video not only displays an overview of the watch, but also reveals the design philosophy and development process of this innovative product. At the same time, Geak announced that they will adopt a real, open and creative development plan in the following process which includes a release of development details, involvement of end users and re-designing of the smart watch by efforts of designers, app developers and fans. The plan will last for 3 months and is expected to involve around 100,000 people.

From the video, people are impressed by the texture of the new smart watch. The design style follows luxury watches and the watch looks more exquisite than the pictures previously released. Besides the ordinary smart watch functions, the video reveals a number of creative functions including message notice, flipping of PPT, unlocking mobile phone and even remote control of model plans.

Geak also announced that the standby hours of the second generation smart watch increased by 75% comparing to that of the first generation. According to tests, the maximum standby time may reach 18 days, which breaks through the battery life bottleneck of smart watches with color screens.

In the mean time, Geak announced the release of a new app store which provides downloads of new SDKs. Geak aims to build up a complete ecological chain for the smart watch.
