Virgin.com Launches New User-Centric Website with DediPower

Managed hosting specialist provides bespoke platform for new group portal

READING, England, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Virgin continues to innovate online, launching its new community-focused Virgin.com site, hosted by DediPower. The hosting and data centre solutions provider has been tasked with ensuring Virgin's flagship website maintains uptime, as its traffic substantially increases following a site refresh. The new site has also launched the global Virgin social network.

The site will act as a gateway to over 50 of the Virgin companies, directing traffic to their individual sites. The new portal adopts the best practices of social media sites, allowing users to create a profile, post comments, rate content, meet other users and converse with the various Virgin companies. Virgin.com also launches with Facebook Connect, allowing users to publish their actions to their Facebook News Feed.
