SACRAMENTO, Calif., March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wondershare, a trusted world-class publisher of Windows® and Mac® utility applications and mobile apps announced a new scholarship program, which will award two aspiring students with a $1,000.00 scholarship. Additionally, Wondershare is expanding its "Software for Schools" software donation program to include new software titles available to schools. In today's economy, it's often a challenge for students to pay for college. This has the effect of keeping some of our brightest minds from getting a college degree, and denies the global workforce qualified technology-oriented workers. Wondershare is stepping up to help combat the problem by providing technology and financial resources to students and educators.

NEW! - Wondershare 2013 Scholarship Program

Wondershare is making available two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships which can be used towards tuition, housing, books, and other college expenses. To be eligible for one of the Wondershare scholarships, students must be in the graduating class of 2013 of a public or private High School in the Sacramento California area and be enrolled in a public or private Community College, 4-year University, or Technical School; and the student should be pursuing a degree in a technology field of study.

To apply, eligible students are being asked to submit a 500-word essay on the topic of "How Technology Enriches Our Lives". A special Wondershare committee will review submitted essays, and the two winners will be selected based on the merits of the essays, at Wondershare's sole discretion. Winners will be notified and scholarship checks presented during commencement ceremonies at the relevant High Schools, or privately if requested.

Scholarship Application Instructions

Interested students meeting the eligibility requirements are kindly requested to submit their essays to Wondershare at the email address: scholarship@wondershare.com.
