Global Sources' China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components and Security Products sold out amid vigorous market demand

Largest-ever events to feature over 3,250 booths at Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo;

Launch of new Fair dedicated to Korean electronics products

HONG KONG, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Global Sources (Nasdaq: GSOL) announced today that the China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components and Security Products are already sold out a month before their scheduled run on Oct. 12-15 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.

"With over 3,250 booths, the upcoming fall shows are by far our biggest yet, almost doubling the size of our debut show in 2006," said Tommy Wong, President of Global Sources Exhibitions. Buyers visiting the Fairs can see over 2,600 booths from mainland China suppliers alone. In addition, there are more than 250 booths from Hong Kong and 300 from Taiwan."

This fall, Global Sources will also launch the first Korea Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components to help Korean suppliers market their high-quality electronics products to top international buyers.

Specialized pavilions showcase hottest electronics products

Highlights of the Fairs include the biggest in-car electronics and GPS pavilions in Asia, and a brand new iProducts accessories pavilion featuring over 100 booths of the latest models and hottest accessories for iPhones, iPads and related items.

Other product pavilions at the China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components feature computer peripherals; computer terminals; networking products; personal digital electronics; consumer electronics & accessories; electronic components; LED displays & opto-electronics; interconnection technology; power supplies; telecom & wireless products and mobile phones.

China Sourcing Fair: Security Products will feature pavilions for access controls; alarms; CCTV and digital surveillance; and home security products.

The October Fairs are set to attract tens of thousands of top buyers from around the world. Last year's shows were attended by more than 30,000 buyers from over 140 countries and regions. China Sourcing Fair: Electronics to be held in Africa for the first time

The last stop for Global Sources' highly successful electronics show this year will be the first-ever China Sourcing Fair: Electronics in Johannesburg, South Africa, scheduled for Dec. 1-3. New and emerging markets have become increasingly important to suppliers, and the Johannesburg show is timed to address Africa's growing demand for Greater China-made products.
