- Featuring star-studded lineup including Baek Ji-young and GB9 who will stage magnificent performances

INCHEON, South Korea, July 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Incheon International Airport Corporation (CEO, Il-Young Chung) will invite pop singer Baek Ji-young, male duo GB9 and other artists for the regular Summer Concert, which is expected to cool down the travelers who are both physically and mentally exhausted from the record-high heat. The Concert will be held from August 1 to 3 at the Great Hall in Passenger Terminal 2.

Under the theme of "Art Splashing Summer Concert", leading artists from various genres like K-pop, jazz piano and ballet will take part in the Concert to present breathtaking performances to domestic and international passengers, airport staff and local residents during this summer vacation season.

On August 1, the "K-POP Ballad Concert" is to be staged by Baek Ji-young and GB, who will kick off the first day of the concert series with their powerful voices. Ballad diva Baek Ji-young represented South Korea at the special inter-Korean concert held in Pyongyang, North Korea that concluded with a great success. Talented male duo GB9 is currently one of the most coveted singers for original soundtracks of TV dramas.

On August 2, the second day of the Concert, pianist and singer-songwriter Yoonhan will perform mellow yet exciting jazz pieces through the "Jazz Concert". Yoonhan graduated from Berklee College of Music. He held six sold-out concerts, which were part of his concert tour "Closer" held in collaboration with five unique brands. He also recently held a concert titled "Extremely Slow and Private", where the audience enjoyed music while lying down on a mattress, through which he gained recognition for his originality in the field of fusion music.

On August 3, the last day of the Concert, the Lee Won-kuk Ballet Company will showcase beautiful ballet performances to round off the Summer Concert. The fine arts group was founded in 2004 by Mr. Lee Won-kuk, a former primo ballerino of the Universal Ballet, and is the first ballet company that gave a performance at the Small Hall of Daehakro Arts Theater. Having held weekly performances like "Love Serenade" and "Lee Won-kuk's Ballet Story" for the past four years at Daehakro, the Company has made significant contributions to popularizing ballet in the Korean society.

The regular Summer Concert will be held every day at 4 p.m. for an hour from August 1 to 3 at the Great Hall, which is located at the center of the first floor of Passenger Terminal 2. The concert will be opened for free to all visitors to the Airport and seat reservations are available on a first come, first served basis at the Airport's art-port website (http://artport.kr/). Those who are interested can contact the Passenger Terminal 2 Culture and Art Office (+82-32-741-7882, artport365@airport.kr) for detailed information.

Incheon International Airport Corporation has held various cultural and arts performances for the past seven years and hence obtained the reputation of being the world's top "culture-port". Having opened this year, Passenger Terminal 2 also aims to become the world's top "art-port". As part of this initiative, it plans to conduct a total of 4,552 magnificent art performances, including four massive regular concerts, under the theme of "Art, Spreading the Sky".
