JNA Awards 2013 Announces Honourees for "Industry Innovation of the Year - Manufacturing - Technology"

HONG KONG, July 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- JNA (Jewellery News Asia), organiser of the second annual JNA Awards, announced today the three shortlisted Honourees for the "Industry Innovation of the Year - Manufacturing - Technology" category.

The Honourees are:

Due to the impressive quality of entries and the rigors of the judging process, the prestigious panel of independent judges had engaged in extensive deliberations over this particular category.

To date, 39 entries from 24 companies were shortlisted across 14 categories. The first 36 finalists in 13 categories were revealed on June 20 during the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.

This year's judging panel consists of five industry experts namely Albert Cheng, Managing Director of the World Gold Council - Far East (WGC); James Courage, Chief Executive of Platinum Guild International (PGI); Lin Qiang, President and Managing Director of the Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE); Nirupa Bhatt, Managing Director of GIA in India and the Middle East; and Vichian Veerasaksri, Director of the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) and Advisor to the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA).

This year, close to 90 highly qualified entries were received from 13 countries and regions, namely Mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, the Philippines, Russia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Tahiti, Taiwan, Thailand and the UAE.

The JNA Awards is an industry-wide event that honours and recognises excellence and achievement in the global jewellery trade with an Asian focus. The Awards ceremony and gala dinner will be held on 12 September 2013 (Thursday) during the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, at The Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong.
