Powering the Future: Atlas Copco Power Technique (China) Launches New Products in 2018

WUXI, China, April 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlas Copco Power Technique, the world's leading on-site air, power and flow solutions provider, has launched a series of new products.

Under the theme 'Powering the Future', Atlas Copco has revealed how its latest advances in air, power and flow technologies, such as portable compressed air machinery, electrical generators, dewatering pumps and light towers, have been designed to reduce both carbon and noise emissions, providing end users with more efficient operation and lower cost of ownership. These advances will cover multiple industry sectors, from construction to manufacturing, equipment rental, utilities, oil and gas, demolition and above-ground mining.

Air: V1200 and Y1300 Large Portable Air Compressors Newly Launched

V1200 and Y1300 are large portable air compressors that are designed for deep well drilling. They both are equipped with the unique Atlas Copco control system Drill Air Xpert. Firstly, the dynamic flow boost of Drill Air Xpert can bring 10% extra flow, which can increase the drilling efficiency by 30%; secondly, the precise control system and new concept of an air inlet device can reduce the fuel consumption by 15%; and finally, the pressure control, flow control and XPR can increase the application range of one compressor, which will increase the utilization of compressor. All of the above will increase customers' ROI by 10%.

Power: QES Diesel-Engine Generators & Lighting towers

The new QES series diesel generators are designed for the construction industry and general rental industry. As a reliable and practical power solution, even in the most demanding workplaces, it can exert excellent performance. Corrosion-resistant waterproof cabinets and the ability to operate at both high and low temperatures make the QES series an ideal power solution. The superior low-load performance, which features automatic variable speed control from 800 to 2550 rpm and a built-in Power Management System (PMS), enables fuel consumption levels to be reduced by up to 40 per cent against comparable models.

With noise pollution in public spaces a growing concern, Atlas Copco ultra-quiet, diesel-driven, LED light tower has been specifically designed for use in urban areas. Delivering industry leading operating noise levels as low as 55 dBA, the light tower is ideally suited to provide illumination at events, temporary public lighting or enhanced visibility at construction sites located near residential areas. Optimum lighting performance is provided via the light tower's LED floodlights, which are capable of covering a 5000 sq. m area.

Flow: A series of dewatering solutions

Dewatering solutions were also exhibited, including both electric submersible pumps and diesel-driven centrifugal machines. From the latter category, Atlas Copco demonstrated a highly-efficient pump. The modular design of VAR allows many different configurations and comes in 4", 6", 8", 10" and 12" models. As the first choice for large particle size drainage, VAR series drainage pumps have high performance engines and pump heads, and open impellers allow large diameter particles to pass freely. The longest battery life is up to 110 hours. It truly achieves high efficiency and stable operation. The new pumps offer up to 20 per cent overall reduction in power consumption compared to previous models; in addition to greater efficiency.

WEDA series submersible pumps provide a wide range of flow and lift options. Global voltage coverage is widely used in engineering drainage, drainage in mines and tunnels, storm water and flood drainage, living drainage, pipeline water supply, and other large-flow drainage needs.

Andrew Walker, President of the Atlas Copco Power Technique business area commented at the event: "Our core competency is providing power solutions to thousands of sites all over the world.
