HONG KONG and AUSTIN, Texas, April 24 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- soluzione Training GmbH, a German based NetDimensions partner and training solutions firm, was recently awarded the European E-Learning Award 2007 in the category of Public Administration and Education. The winning project, LiMux learning portal, was chosen from among 117 entries from around the world.
The program, commissioned by the City of Munich, was designed to train over 15,000 employees as they migrated from Windows to a Linux operating system. The courses were then delivered using NetDimensions EKP Gold learning management system (LMS).
Using the EKP LMS, employees were able to choose courses online and managers could assign learning programs to staff from a content catalogue provided by soluzione. This enabled employees to undergo training at their own speed and for more advanced employees to tailor their courses and skip ahead.
Mr. Frank Roda, project representative for soluzione, approached NetDimensions about providing a learning management system with multilingual capabilities and role and competency management after researching a number of vendors.
