KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Nov. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Whale Cloud, a global leader in digital transformation, has showcased outstanding Catalyst projects at TM Forum Digital Transformation Asia 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 12th to 14th November. In the Catalysts, Whale Cloud and its partners are exploring how new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and block-chain help communications service providers (CSPs) to facilitate network and business operation, generate new business models and restructure new 5G value chains.
Blockchain-based 5G Collaboration Economy: Championed by China Unicom and China Telecom, this project showcases a collaborative business model to offset the huge gaps between 5G capital investments and gained profits. Specifically, it shows how CSPs can leverage blockchain technologies to optimize the complex business process in 5G network infrastructure co-building and sharing scenario.
5G Value Plus Lifestyle: This Catalyst is championed by China Telecom. It explores the transformation from traditional customer management to a "value plus" lifestyle enabler. CSPs take full advantage of their customer relationship capabilities to weave a loyalty program network with their partners, building a 5G ecosystem marketplace for digital living.
AI for 5G Billing Data Acceleration: Championed by China Unicom, this project uses AI on top of 4G billing and charging architecture to reduce the complexity of billing caused by the exponential growth of data in the network. The intelligent billing predicts the traffic quota and provides differentiated processing for different customers. Edge computing is also used to improve the efficiency of 5G billing.
