JAKARTA, Indonesia, Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PT UBM Pameran Niaga Indonesia is ready to roll out the third edition of Concrete Show South East Asia - the leading exhibition and conference dedicated to the concrete and construction industry. The event will take place at the Jakarta International Expo from 28 to 30 October 2015. Concrete Show South East Asia offers the right platform for concrete and construction industry players, both in Indonesia and the region to expand their business and presents solutions to support the Indonesian government program in improving and developing infrastructure across the nation, including the exciting one million housing program initiated by President Joko Widodo in 2015.
Director General of Construction, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Republic of Indonesia, Mr Ir. Yusid Toyib, M.Eng. Sc stated, "Construction is one of the powerhouses which drives the economic development, through the improvement of infrastructure, which in turn shall boost the other sectors. Therefore, the construction budget spending is projected to increase in parallel to the government's effort to push for infrastructure growth across Indonesia up to 2019. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing shall also continue to encourage the public welfare through infrastructure development, including meeting the demand for decent housing for the people. One of the tasks is the initiative by President Joko Widodo in his One Million Housing program launched earlier this year. This initiative is expected to reduce the backlog of 300,000-400,000 houses annually."
Concrete is one of the vital elements in a building structure and is a must-have material in all construction. To date, there are several systems of Precast Concrete Structure developed by both private and government sectors to support the construction industry in Indonesia.
