In the 2015 study, 112 companies from Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan completed the evaluation process. These companies came from 10 different industries, involving 200,000 employees. 8 IT companies are part of the list, making it the most represented industry in the list. In the evaluation process, Great Place to Work® invited employees of participating companies to answer the 58-statement Trust Index© survey, accessing the point of view of the entire organization. At the same time, the HR team and senior management of each company were asked to submit a Culture Audit© questionnaire, outlining the HR policies and practices in 9 key areas.

"According to the analysis, the overall score of Greater China has decreased compared to 2014," commented Denzel Xin, the List Manager of Great Place to Work® Institute in Greater China. "Within Asia Pacific, Greater China scores are higher than the scores of Japan and Korea, but are lower than the scores of Australia and India. Within Greater China, the statement with the highest score in Hong Kong was 'I am offered training or development to further myself professionally', while in Taiwan, they were: 'People here are treated fairly regardless of their age, sex, race and sexual orientation'. The average scores of employees in Greater China are generally above the scores of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Furthermore, the gap between the listed and non-listed companies has a diminishing trend."

"The only standardized process to examine a company's workplace environment is to directly ask for the employee's "workplace experience", as well as collect how they evaluate and feel towards the company's policies and management process, "shared Jose Carlos Bezanilla, Great Place to Work® in Greater China CEO. "In this year's study, apart from a small number of companies who conducted a sample survey in order not to disrupt the everyday activity of their manufacturing plants, all other companies were surveyed company-wide," says Bezanilla. "I'd like to specially commend the six companies that participated in all three regions of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. These companies are EMC, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Mars, NetApp, National Instruments, and W.L. Gore & Associates," added Bezanilla.

Great Place to Work's Mirley Perez pointed out: "This shows the company's confidence in its corporate culture and in the attitude of all employees equally." In the recently published Company as Community report, Great Place to Work studied the information of 53 countries. It was found that the sense of "family" and "community" not only benefits the communication and the teamwork among colleagues, it also gels together teams. "When comparing listed 'Best Companies' and the industry averages, we found that the turnover rate in Best Companies is at least half," commented Denzel Xin. These intangible cultural roots could eventually promote a rippling effect within the organization, bringing various forms of innovation, and ultimately business performance for the company. One study pointed out that the annualized revenue of the stock of Best Companies between 1997 and 2014 were nearly three times higher than the industry average.

150 participants from renowned companies, namely HR professionals, C-Suite leaders, and academics attended the Great Place to Work Conference. Discussion topics included how to create a great workplace, and how to provide the best workplace experience for its employees. Keynote speakers from Cisco, SAP, Hyatt, and Plantronics shared their companies' journeys in building and sustaining a great workplace. Participants opined that, with the transformation of China's labour force, how to better attract talent and retain talent has become the key in the rise and fall of enterprises in the next decade. At the same time, the development of internet technology and social networking platforms has also increased the transparency of the workplace, employees will be able to share the experience with others and gradually form a social reputation. The two effects of population and technology forces organizations to shift the focus of human capital as the core, allowing the employees to have an excellent workplace experience. Bezanilla emphasized in the closing speech: "through 30 years of research in the workplace excellence, our institute has found that 'trust' is the important factor that differentiates best workplaces and other companies."
