Chinese E-commerce Giant OSell Acquires Russian Company TDPRO, Building the First Chinese Products Experience Center

HONG KONG, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The E-commerce giant OSell signed official acquisition contract with the Russian company TDPRO on December 30, 2014. TDPRO is a Russian supply chain management company providing logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management services in various cities in Russia. The acquisition integrates Chinese supply chain with overseas logistics and retail resources, connecting every segment of cross-border E-commerce.

Kevin Fenn, the CEO of OSell, said this acquisition will greatly promote the development of Sino-Russia trade. Starting from Moscow, OSell is going to build local experience centers, warehouses, and after-sale service centers in "One Belt And One Road" cities ("One belt, one road" is a development strategy started by the Chinese government in 2013. It refers to the New Silk Road Economic Belt, which will link China with Europe through Central and Western Asia, and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, which will connect China with Southeast Asian countries, Africa and Europe) for the development of cross-borer E-commerce.

Kevin Fenn has also disclosed OSell's overall strategy for 2015. OSell is going to build local experience centers in every "One Belt And One Road" cities, connecting the Chinese industrial belt to global retailers and eliminating the multi-level middleman. It aims to sell Chinese products to global retailers without price disparity. OSell has created the first Chinese products experience center in Moscow, which is planned to open in next March or April.

It is said that OSell's acquisition of TDPRO and the construction of the Chinese products experience center is a milestone event. It may solve the long-existing last-mile problem that hinders the development of cross-border E-commerce. The Chinese products experience center may effectively remove the restriction of category, price, and logistics on Chinese exporting products, and promoting the upgrading of Chinese manufacturing industry.
