SHENZHEN, China, January 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- China Information Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNIT), a leading provider of internet-based platforms and digital advertising services in China, today said it had introduced YunTouch, a new stand-alone digital display terminal designed for use in multiple locations including retail stores, shopping malls, restaurants, hospitals, banks, financial institutions and government buildings.
Equipped with interactive touch screen function, an HD camera, a built-in microphone, and a high-definition 32-inch tall LCD screen, the YunTouch terminal enables customers to quickly and easily view or order products and verbally request product information.
YunTouch also has face recognition and big data technology which collects and analyzes customers' past purchase behavior and automatically shows them relevant new product information.
YunTouch is fast, with an 8-core processor and CNIT's proprietary network operating system, and can be remotely programmed from a customer's own PC or mobile app via the company's YunfaNet cloud-based information network.
As with CNIT's elevator-based terminals, YunTouch can display a full slate of digital and video ads, also delivered via YunfaNet.
"We are very excited to roll out this advanced stand-alone terminal," said CEO and chairman, Mr. Jianghuai Lin. "We believe the YunTouch will allow companies to stimulate significant sales and strengthen brand recognition, particularly amongst younger consumers who are used to interacting with and making purchases via out-of-home digital display screens."
"We further believe products like YunTouch can reduce the cost of product promotion compared to other advertising or product message modalities."
Mr. Lin said he expected sales of YunTouch to be "brisk" and account for "meaningful high-margin revenue" during calendar 2016.
