Making Aruba Network's products more accessible to enterprises to address demands of GenMobile

HONG KONG, May 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) today announced its partnership with Edvance Technology Limited (Edvance), a Hong Kong-based security solutions value-added distributor with a clientele comprised of many Tier-1 enterprises in Hong Kong and Macau. In the partnership, Aruba Networks further bolsters Edvance's extensive security product offerings with its ClearPass solution, and in turn Edvance will leverage its expertise and reputation to introduce Aruba Networks' innovative solutions to enterprises, broadening Aruba Networks' product distribution network and helping enterprises to address demands of Generation Mobile (#GenMobile) workers -- a new generation of users with a much higher demand on Wi-Fi user experience and security wherever and whenever they are connected to the Internet, including in the workplace.

According to the IDC Quarterly Wireless LAN Tracker, the Asia Pacific market of Wireless LAN will grow from US$647 Million in 2012 to US$1,564 Million in 2016, which resonates with the findings of the "Are You Ready for #GenMobile APAC Survey" announced by Aruba Networks in March 2014 that mobility has become increasingly prominent in our working lives. The survey showed that 92% of all respondents have two or more connected devices, and nearly two-thirds (59%) already own three or more connected mobile devices. A third are always online (34%, whether they are working or not).

Similar phenomenon is observed in Hong Kong except that 5% more of the respondents are always online, implying that the Hong Kong employees even rely heavier on connectivity and mobility.  The prevalence and effectiveness of these tech devices are affecting the way we choose to work, in and out of the office.

Aruba Networks, as the leading provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise networks, plays crucial role in supporting enterprises to shape up for a generation of mobile-ready workers, and has achieved record business results in 2014.   To sustain the momentum across their strong solution portfolio as well as addressing the demands of enterprises, Aruba Networks is proactively engaging with industry partners to drive Aruba Networks' business development, while striving to support enterprises to address challenges created with the emergence of #GenMobile.

"Employees in Hong Kong are tech-savvy. In the #GenMobile era, many of them are shaping their working lives around their connected devices and centering their work mode at mobility. With the ability to work effectively anytime, at any place and on any device, they expect employers to implement the necessary policies and structural changes to accommodate to their preferred mode of working," said Kenneth Ma, Country Manager of Hong Kong and Macau at Aruba Networks, "We understand today's businesses value technology which can enable business development and in this #GenMobile era, the best-in-class network access solutions will play crucial role in business success.  We are very pleased to have Edvance as our distributor partner which allows us to extend our reach into enterprises especially the financial sector to help them to unleash their business potential while satisfying their #GenMobile employees."

Edvance has been renowned for its system integration projects across government and enterprise sectors in Hong Kong and Macau and has now evolved to become a value-added distributor. Through the partnership, Aruba Networks gains a foothold in Edvance's enterprise client base, ultimately benefiting the enterprises by providing them with state-of-the-art network management tools that give a complete view and total control over the entire network without compromising quality and security. Edvance will also provide professional technology consultancy that empowers its clients to take full advantage of Aruba Networks' innovative solutions.

"Aruba Networks is a leading network provider that has a vision to empower the new #GenMobile with state-of-the-art mobility solutions, which precisely addresses the challenges faced by enterprises of today and tomorrow. With the partnership, we expect to bolster our existing portfolio with complementing solutions, therefore enabling us to offer a more holistic security solution for enterprises that demand a high-performance, dynamic mobility environment," said Raymond Liu, Managing Director of Edvance.
