Kicked off on November 25, 2017 at the Borneo Convention Centre, the two day conference began with a TedX Kenyalang event on day one. The i3 + LiveX conference was scheduled for the second day which was officiated by YB Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais the Assistant Minister of e-commerce, Assistant Minister of Entrepreneur & small, medium enterprise (SME) development. The core economic clusters were evaluated for prospective business projects in the BIMP-EAGA region. The Conference for both days combined had attracted a total of more than 500 local and international participants from India, China, Philippines, Brunei and Indonesia.

Mr Ashran Dato' Ghazi CEO of Malaysian Global Innovative & Creativity Center (MaGIC), one of the main partner of the event, delivered the opening speech, highlighting: "Ideas that are coming out from the startups & entrepreneurial community, combined with experienced & networks with some of you guys! Who's been in the business for 10-15 years would be super awesome! That power that is combined together will come out with a very viable startup - entrepreneurial venture out there, that's going to be competitive, that's going to create new market, that's going to be sustainable as we move forward."

The program also has keynote addresses on sourcing alternative funding for start-up opportunities, workshops and sharing sessions of case studies with varying rates of success.

The i3 event has assessed the current landscape of the digital economy, and provide foresight into future trends and projections. Broaching the difficulties of implementation, the program highlighted the funding opportunities available, including venture capital and realistic methods sourcing alternative funding.

The entrepreneurial sharing sessions gotten many to be connected up close and personal with successful start-up heads in Asia. The Livelihood Exchange (LiveX) session has notable speakers from BIMP-EAGA that delivered personal accounts of the transformational impact of digital marketing on the local business communities.

Interactivity is a highlight of the conference. There were workshops that teach evergreen digital marketing mastery conducted by iPRIMA Media, masterclasses in business strategy and many more.

The conference was in line with the vision of the Development of the Youth and Urbanisation for Demak Laut, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of the collaboration for the product development downstream of a Net-hoist Winch invention proposed for the Community Social Responsibility (CSR) benefits of the fishermen community in Bako, Demak Laut. The exchange was engaged by the owner of the product, Haaziq Ibrahim of Ai Brique Engineering Solutions & the CSR Development Manager by Abdul Qaiyum Alidin of Resonics Consultancy during the i3 Business-to-business matchmaking session of the conference.

The MOU took place on the same day as i3 + LiveX, after Haaziq Ibrahim and Abdul Qaiyum decided to honour their recent agreement and engagement between Resonics Consultancy, Ai Brique Engineering and Umadx Crowdfunding MOU exchange in the recent World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF), witnessed by Malaysia's Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Dato' Musa Hitam and Dato' Amar Awang Tengah in Kuching, Sarawak.

The event sparked a chain reaction which resulted another two MOU on the collaboration and engagement, led by Haaziq Ibrahim (Ai Brique Engineering) which includes Abdul Qaiyum Alidin (Resonics Consultancy) and also the Philippines delegates, Mr. Samuel R. Matunog (Segworks Technologies Corporation Philippines) and Mr. Michael Tiu Lim (Zamboanga ICT Council) to collaborate in building the existing opportunities, complementing the potential business climate within Malaysia and the Philippines. These engagement aims to assist the distribution of the product development, proof of concept and technological transfer between both parties to develop and deliver the distribution of business developments within these two countries.

Plans for the next i3 + Live X event is being made and more B2B sessions are being planned to encourage more business transactions among countries in the BIMP-EAGA region.
