Audience welcome to support with opportunity to receive a new iPad
HONG KONG, April 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Organised by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), the Hong Kong Final Competition of the Job Hunting Competition 2012 will be held on 14 April, Saturday. After rounds of competition, the 12 finalists have been selected to compete for the championship.
ACCA aims to give university students an opportunity to equip themselves with the skills essential for their future pursuit of desired jobs in the competitive recruitment market especially for accounting and finance profession.
Having been organised for nine consecutive years, this nation-wide competition has successfully drawn the attention of nearly 200 universities throughout China every year. Over 2,200 applications from Accounting and Finance major students have been received this year.
After multiple examinations such as the aptitude test, face-to-face interview and group discussion, 12 finalists were selected from the Hong Kong Semi-final Competition held earlier. In order to prepare all contestants to perform at their best, , ACCA has offered the 12 finalists an intensive training workshop to enhance their communication skills, interpersonal skills, interviewing as well as presentation techniques prior to the Final Competition.
On the day of the Final Competition, the finalists will be divided into groups and develop proposals for a given simulated business case and present it to the judges. Each contestant will be assessed according to his/her analytical skills, team work, communication as well as presentation skills. The top three winners will represent Hong Kong and compete with the winners of other Mainland cities for the National Grand Championship at the China Grand Final Competition held in Hong Kong on 7 July 2012.
Apart from trophies, cash prizes and ACCA scholarships, ACCA would offer a two-day job shadowing placement opportunity in Shanghai to shortlisted candidates in the summer of 2012. The shortlisted candidates will observe first-hand how senior management executives work and develop solutions in real-life work environment during the job shadowing placement.
ACCA welcomes interested parties to attend the Hong Kong Final Competition and support these outstanding students. There will be a voting session for the audience to vote for their preferred champion with a chance to receive a new 3rd generation iPad.
