Air Products Appoints Kim Kyo-Yung to Succeed Lee Soo-Yon as Korea President

SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Products (NYSE: APD) today announced that Lee Soo-Yon, its vice chairman and former president for Korea, had retired as of 31 January 2015. Kim Kyo-Yung, current Korea president since 1 October 2014, is leading the Industrial Gases business in the country. Kim also continues to oversee some ongoing projects in Xi'an High Tech Zone (XHTZ), Shaanxi Province, western China for a Korea electronics customer.

Kim joined Air Products in Korea in 1991 and has held several regional and global positions across the commercial and marketing functions in the Electronics Division. He was based in Taipei, Taiwan, serving as global director for Electronics Tonnage business from 2008 to 2014. Before assuming his current position, Kim was global director for Process Materials and Delivery Systems in the Electronics Division.

Lee Soo-Yon continues serving as Air Products' consultant until May 2015.

During his 25-year tenure, Lee played a key role throughout Air Products' development and in building strategic relationships with many customers in the Korea market. In 2004, he received the Air Products Chairman's Award for Excellence for his leadership and contributions in growing the Korea business particularly establishing leading positions in many of the country's industrial parks. He also is a winner of the 2014 Samsung Award of Honor for his support to Samsung's semiconductor business in China.
