SHANGHAI, China, June 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- After the tragic earthquake on May 12 in Wenchuan of Sichuan Province, Praxair, Inc. decided immediately on a donation of 300,000 RMB to the earthquake relief efforts. Praxair China’s management also has been monitoring the situation of the affected areas and organized swiftly both corporate and employee donations with the coordination of the Social Club, a voluntary employee committee of the company.
A total of 353,076 RMB has been collected from all Praxair China employees across the North, East and South region of the country. Aided by an additional contribution from the company, the total donation by Praxair worldwide for the earthquake relief is 1.6 million RMB. On June 4, Senior HR Manager of Praxair China and representatives of the Social Club handed a check of 1.6 million RMB to Shanghai Charity Foundation.
