Perot Systems Launches IT Healthcare Services in China

David Miller Appointed Managing Director to Head Company's Business Development

CHANGSHA, China, Nov. 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ --

Perot Systems Corporation (NYSE: PER), in formal ceremonies with Chinese Government officials, Hunan Province officials and local economic development representatives in Changsha, today announced the launch of the company's healthcare industry IT services operations in the China. The company also announced the appointment of David Miller as Managing Director for the company's China region.

The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Zhang Jianfei, Mayor of Changsha. Honored guests also included Zhou QiangChen governor of Hunan Provincial Government;Chen Zhaoxiong, vice governor of Hunan Provincial Government; Russell Freeman, Chief Operating Officer of Perot Systems Corporation from Plano, Texas; and David Miller, Managing Director of Perot Systems in China. During the ceremony Perot Systems signed formal lease documents for its new Healthcare headquarters to be located in Lu Valley.

Details of the agreements include Perot Systems establishing a headquarters location for its healthcare consulting, clinical transformation and related service delivery operations in Lu Valley. The company plans to have this location become one of its primary delivery centers to serve customers in Hunan Province and, possibly, customers in other provinces throughout the People's Republic of China. The company reported that its business development efforts continue, and additional announcements are expected in the near future.

Mr. Miller is one of four managing directors Perot Systems recently established to lead its highly-focused business development efforts and investments in select global markets.

Today's announcement follows several years of Perot Systems business activities in China, beginning in 2005 when the company's chairman, Ross Perot, Jr., established business development efforts with officials in select locations in the country. The company also began providing service delivery operations in Shanghai at that time to a small number of its multinational customers with facilities in China. As a previous owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Ross Perot, Jr. was instrumental in negotiations that enabled Wang Zhizhi, one of China's all-time greatest basketball players, to become the first player from China to play in the NBA when he joined the Dallas Mavericks in April 2001.)

In March of this year Perot Systems and ChinaSoft International announced an agreement to cooperatively develop mutually beneficial opportunities in the Chinese Healthcare market. Since then the company has expanded its business development activity, and subsequent IT services operations in Shanghai and Beijing, and with today's announcement establish its healthcare headquarters in Changsha.

Mr. Miller joined Perot Systems in January, 2007 as the Vice President of Consulting and Applications Services North America, following a 28 year career at Hewlett Packard. He brings significant international business start up and management experience to Perot Systems, with particular strength in North Asian markets. Mr. Miller developed the business plan, built and grew HP's Global Delivery China Center. He served as Vice President and General Manager of the China Center for 5 years, with operations in Shanghai, Dalian, Beijing and Chong Qing, with a total of 2,200 employees.

Mr. Miller served as a member of the Shanghai Hewlett-Packard Board of Directors and was invited to join the Council of Economic Advisors to the People's Government of Chong Qing.
