2016 E-commerce Innovations Celebrated at ECI Awards' Summit and Gala

WEIHAI, China, July 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On 6th of July, the 2016 Sino-Korea E-Commerce Innovation Summit & ECI Awards Gala was successfully held under the theme "Honoring innovations that define the future" in Weihai, Shandong.

ECI Awards were founded in New York City by International E-Commerce Innovation Association (IECIA). As the world's first awarding program that was set up to celebrate innovations in digital business, it aims to provide a platform of communications and cooperation for the whole industry through promotion, commendation, research, education as well as financing and investment.

As opening address speakers, Li Xisha, Chairman of China Advertising Association of Commerce and Zhang Hui, Mayor of Weihai City expressed the Chinese government's support for the development of digital business innovations, while Hwanjin Choi from Korea, committee member of IECIA and Co-chairperson of AD Stars introduced the current situation of e-commerce in his country, wishing that there would be more mutually beneficial cooperation between us.

Millions of people watched the Summit and Gala live via webcast which were hosted by e-commerce celebrities, and over 800 local and foreign industry leaders gathered at the venue. Panelists and speakers, including Gurpreet Singh, Global Vice President of GWC, Kitty Lun, Greater China Head of Creative Shop, Facebook, Xiong Qingyun, Chief Brand Officer of JD.com and Jiang Tao, CEO of GeekFounders to name a few, shared their insights on where e-commerce is now and where it's going and inspire the audience with cases of their own institutions.

Winners of 7 categories of innovations in digital business were awarded at the event, i.e. Business Model Innovation, Product Innovation, Technology Innovation, Marketing Innovation, Service Innovation, Management Innovation, and Policy Innovation. In addition, ECI Awards also invited some of them to showcase their business innovation projects.

The announcement of 2016 Grand ECI winner has aroused wide public praise since rrkd.cn, the Grand ECI winner of last year, successfully attracted capital worth 50 million dollars.
