SINGAPORE, Oct. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens has bagged the 2016 Asia-Pacific Building Technologies Company of the Year award from Frost & Sullivan.

The award was presented to Siemens at the annual Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards banquet held at the Conrad Centennial Singapore on Oct 13.

Mr. Viswesh Vancheeshwar, Research Analyst, Energy & Environment Practice, Asia-Pacific at Frost & Sullivan said that Siemens has successfully created affordable and easy-to-use state-of-the-art solutions.

"By consistently producing and providing new technologies which push the boundaries of both operational and energy efficiency, Siemens has consolidated its position as a leader in the building technologies market," he added.

Mr. Vancheeshwar said that building technologies is a fast industry with numerous exciting and evolving opportunities and is currently experiencing a technological convergence with the emergence of next generation of ICT solutions such as Big Data, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and data analytics.

He added that it is challenging for companies to incorporate these ICT solutions into their value propositions, while ensuring the ease of use for customers. "In a price conscious region like Asia-Pacific, offering advanced technology solutions at competitive prices may be the key to success but also poses a challenge for building technology providers. However, Siemens has successfully overcome this challenge with its innovative and attractive solutions that are able to match the evolving needs of end-users in this market," he said.

Mr. Vancheeshwar also said that as a pioneer in the building technologies sector, Siemens brings innovative solutions and years of global expertise to its customers. The company's solutions and services ensure that buildings are future-ready, which essentially translates into higher ROIs for customers, he added.

"We are proud to receive the 2016 Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Building Technologies Company of the Year award. The award underscores our commitment to bring cutting-edge solutions to our customers within the Region," said Mr. Elangovan Karuppiah, CEO of the Building Technologies Division for the Middle-East Asia Pacific region at Siemens. Mr. Karuppiah also added that Siemens has increased their focus on delivering digitalized and energy-efficient solutions to the market and will constantly work towards raising the bar in the buildings industry.
