The Ark and the Aardvark tells the story of an outcast aardvark named Gilbert (voiced by Miles Teller) who becomes the leader of a group of misfit animals that need to be led to the mighty ark before the impending flood.

Stevenson, the British filmmaker best known for the box office hit "Kung Fu Panda," has spent four and half years developing the film inspired by the Bible story Noah's Ark with his main team.

"'The Ark and the Aardvark' has an intriguing storyline that grew out of the classic Bible story Noah's Ark and a brilliant cast who have brought life to the characters. Stevenson and his team not only have extensive experience in animated filmmaking but also a deep understanding of the Chinese culture and film market. We are confident that this film will become one of the most exciting Hollywood animations to watch in 2018," said Feng Shi, the co-founder and CEO of I Do Culture Corporation, who is also co-producing the film.

"The co-production project also developed a new business model that changed the traditional China-foreign co-productions when Chinese companies usually don't get involved with production or distribution," Shi said.

As the only Chinese company in this co-production project, I Do Culture Corporation has full authority in investment and financing, the production, distribution, marketing and copyright of the animated figures, brand products, mini disc and development and business planning of other works in greater China.

"I Do Culture Corporation has developed a global strategy of working with top filmmaking companies like Beacon to export capital, content, talent and producers from China to the US and vice versa. Our partnerships with US companies are rooted in the idea of learning what the audiences like and finding the things that appeal to everyone instead of just limiting creativity to each other's expectations," Shi said.

The company will also help the American film industry establish film foundations in China and work with leading Chinese filmmaking companies to share resources on Sino-US partnership platforms.

The company's grand plan also includes building a third-party international platform for Chinese filmmaking talent to grow and reach their full potential, enabling actors, directors and writers to engage in international projects promptly and help the Chinese film industry to connect with the world.
