SHANGHAI, June 30 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- PTC ASIA 2009 will grandly open at Shanghai New International Expo Center from 26 to 29 October. The 4-day show, covering a total display area of over 60,000 sqm, is expected to accommodate 1,350 exhibitors from both home and abroad presenting state-of-the-art products and technologies of fluid and mechanical transmission. 60,000 trade visitors from over 80 countries are anticipated to attend the grand fair looking for business opportunities.

As global economic recession brings grave challenges to domestic industry of power transmission and control, Chinese government has adopted a series of measures to speed up the restructuring of equipment manufacturing industry -- a clear confirmation of the industry's status of prominence with regard to national economy. As an infrastructural sector which provides technological equipment for national economy and defence, mechanical equipment manufacturing industry plays a critical role in pushing forward economic restructuring, speeding up industrial upgrade, boosting domestic demand and developing national economy in a sustainable way. Therefore, PTC ASIA, as a trade fair for the whole sector of mechanical power transmission, will as well benefit from Chinese governmental policies. With a growing demand for parts and components for mechanical engineering, the show is expected to take on a dynamic scene. Authorities are expecting a 47.5 billion Yuan growth in demand for hydraulics, pneumatics and sealing technology. Also, the accelerating industrialization of parts and components sector has generated strong demand for independent research and development, more investment as well as more effective production. With the upbeat outlook, the coming year will witness a new revival of PTC industry and a prominent development of PTC ASIA as the sector's leading exhibition.

Themed upon various categories of technological achievements within power transmission and control sector, PTC ASIA 2009 will serve as a platform displaying a combination of products for mechanical power transmission, electrical power transmission and parts, compressed air technology, mechanical parts, fasteners, springs, bearings, internal combustion engines, information technology, micro-electronic technology, computer technology, automatic control technology and new materials. To grab this opportunity for industrial restructuring and product upgrading, legions of domestic companies have taken initiative to play a part in the show in the hope of expanding the application of their products and technologies in the fields of transportation, industrial equipment manufacturing, infrastructure, automobile and new energy.
